We offer full-time care for:
We are open Monday-Friday, 7:30am-6pm. We are closed on all statutory holidays, 2 professional development days and between Christmas and New Year.
The Society of Richmond Children’s Centres (SRCC) participates in British Columbia’s $10/Day ChildCareBC Program at six of our centre. Through this provincial initiative, eligible full-time child care fees are reduced to $200 per month, regardless of family income.
Our Willow location is currently not part of the $10/Day ChildCareBC Program, as it has not yet been approved by the Ministry of Education and Child Care. Will will open with projected monthly fees of:
These fees are subject to Ministry approvals and may change. Final fees will be confirmed prior to enrollment.
We are hopeful that Willow will be able to join the $10/Day program when future application opportunities become available.
The ratio of educators to children differs depending on the program.
Occasionally, additional staff are employed to support the inclusion of children with additional support needs.
While we do not guarantee that children will move from infants to toddlers to 3-5’s, we do everything we can to make that happen. It is bound by regulation and an exemption is at the discretion of Licensing and we may need your support to advocate for your child's move.
Each 3-5 program is licensed to have up to two children who are 30 months of age. When additional spaces for children under three years of age are needed, SRCC may apply to Community Care Licensing for an exemption. Approval of any exemption is at the discretion of Community Care licensing and cannot be guaranteed.
Private tours are given to families when a space is being offered to them. We refrain from offering public tours to avoid disruption to our educators, children, and ongoing programs that may occur with an excessive number of tours.
Our annual Open House will be hosted in May, from 6 - 8 pm. The Open House is an inclusive public event and registration is not required. All of our locations will be opened.
The Richmond Child Care Resource and Referral program can give you names and contact numbers for care (group and family child care) in your area. Call them at 604.279.7025.
We hope that the above information makes your search for child care a little easier. We hope to be in touch with you in the future.
Our programs provide morning and afternoon snacks and parents will need to prepare lunch for their children.
The SRCC is an inclusive program providing care to all children, including those with support needs. Our organization works in partnership with the Supported Child Development Program (SCDP) - which is run by Aspire Richmond to provide additional support in the program. It is the aim of the SRCC to be inclusive.
It is recognized however, if a child is enrolled and deemed to require extra support to safely participate in one of our programs while our dedicated supported space is full, the SRCC reserves the right to terminate services with appropriate notice in the event that the Centre is unable to accommodate the child’s needs or family circumstances.
The Society of Richmond Children's Centres is a non-profit society whose mission is to provide exemplary child care in Richmond that includes play-based learning and family-centred care in an enriching creative environment.
